I heard that sugar can be used to remove dead skin cells? Is this true? If so, does regular, white sugar work?Is sugar good for exfoliating the skin on your face and softening it?
Yup, regular sugar works. Just mix a bit of water in, and then gently scrub your wet face with it. Surprisingly, plain old un-coated aspirin works even better. Take 5 or 6 aspirin, add maybe a quarter of a teaspoon of warm water, stir the aspirin till they dissolve, rub it onto your face to form a mask, then let it dry. Finally, take a wet washcloth and scrub (gently) off. Its a totally inexpensive exfoliant and your skin will look all glowy. Is sugar good for exfoliating the skin on your face and softening it?
Yes. It's very gentle. It can also be added to your body wash for use as an exfoliating scrub for your whole body. The sugar scrubs you purchase in stores are just that - sugar with some type of liquid base.
