Hi Liz:

I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care.

Here is a typical sequence for acne skin regime ( but you can substitue it for any skin care regimen) :

1.Moisturizing Abrasion Scrub: Exfoliates oils and debris from the pores.

2.Glycolic Acid Toner: Balances and neutralizes the PH of the skin.

3.Glycolic Acid Cream: Eliminates oil formation while helping to moisturize and simultaneously sloughing off acne filled skin.

4.Over Night Drying Lotion ( Magic in a Bottle): Specifically formulated to reduce and dry out pimples overnight and should only be applied on to the pimples or acne breakouts.

5.Nourishing Acne Drying Masque: Reduces redness. Acts as an anti-inflammatory. Soothes, calms, cleanses and shrinks the pores.

All of the products should be composed of natural byproducts made from fruit, vegetable or vitamin extracts.

So for regular skin it would be somewhere along the line of:

NIGHT TIME SKIN REGIMEN:

Exfoliate

Cleanser

Toner

Night time cream ( at night)

DAYTIME SKIN REGIME:

Cleanser

Toner

Moisturizer

Make-up if you use it

Here is a suggestion: I send all my patients to this website:

www.aboutyourskincare.com

You can ask all the questions you have FREEE OF CHARGE and you will have skin care experts/physicians answer your questions for FREE.

They also carry some of the best products that yield the best results that I have seen with my own eyes for the past 12 years.

Good Luck!

You can Steam if you want.

Mask - if you want an easy mask to make, you can mix honey and ground oatmeal, it sounds weird, but i really brightens your skin.

Cleanse - any GENTLE cleanser is good.

always pat your face dry.

Toner

Moisturizer - Oil Free is the best.

Make Up in the Morning or Any Acne Creams at night.

Steam(optional)

Mask

Cleanser (some cleansers are exfoliating, so that would be the same step)

Toner

Moisturizer

Makeup (morning) or Creams and anything for acne (night)
