Exfoliate (gently) everyday - or perhaps just once a week! Steam twice a week. Use a face mask twice a week.

follow these steps:

1 Cup Brown Sugar

1/2 Cup Sweetened Almond Oil

1 tsp Vitamin E (I cut open a couple Vitamin E liquid gel caps)

1/2-1 tsp Vanilla Extract

You can substitute the almond oil for pure sesame oil (not roasted). extra virgin olive oil, vegetable oil or any other oil you like that is suitable for the skin. I prefer almond oil due to the many benefits of almond oil on the skin.

In place of the vanilla extract you can use your favorite essential oil or fragrance oil. Or if you are in a pinch you can leave it out altogether as it's mainly included for added aroma.

The Vitamin E is also not a necessity but it adds some skin nourishment to the brown sugar scrub.

Steaming cleans the skin of all surface dirt, stimulates the circulation and unclogs blocked pores. It can be used every day if you have a very greasy skin.

Steaming can be taken by leaning over a large bowl of boiling water, by covering your head with a towel and making a tent around the bowl pores, loosen blackheads and bring spots to a head. To make steaming more beneficial, add a tablespoon of herbs to the water. Elderflower and chamomile are the old favorites for this. Steam your face for about ten to twenty minutes. By steaming blackheads come out of the pores and it becomes easy to extract them.

and for a very simple mask for oil/acne prone skin just use milk of magnesia (no flavors). Apply the Milk of Magnesia to face.

Wash with cool washcloth after 10-15 minutes.

i hope this works for you. has done wonders for me.

a homemade scrub will involve sugar and oil. Just a capful of vegetable oil and 2 teaspoons of sugar should be a good one for your face. someone said lemon, that would be nice to add. Stir it together scoop it up with your fingers and apply to your face in small circles with your fingertips. your fingers and the sugar will be doing the exfoliating, the oil is holding the sugar in place--don't worry about putting it on your face you will be washing it off. After 2 or 3 minutes, stop, wash your hands and rinse off your face. You could use a mild gel cleanser to wash off your face if you have oily skin--even handsoap from a dispenser is ok, not ideal, but ok. You will glow and look beautiful.
I have oily spot prone skin and ive tried every product you can see on the shelves of every boots and superdrug but the best product ive found by far is the Body Shop seaweed range. They do a face scrub thats exfoliating and they do a range of cleansers toners and moisturisers. Its slightly more expensive that most face products but id rather pay a few pounds more and know its right for my skin!
wash your face with mild soap and warm water and rinse off. Lightly spread olive oil, or other oil from the kitchen over your face. Dip your oily fingertips in white sugar and rub over face with gentle round movements and avoid the under eye area. Keep doing this for ten minutes and you may need to keep dipping your fingertips into the sugar. When done, wash your face twice in warm soap and water and rinse off. Pat dry with a soft clean towel. Then feel your skin, it will feel like soft velvet. This is a natural method and works. Do this once a week or twice a week, whatever you need.
A face mask doesn't really exfoliate. It draws out impurities and deep cleans. Use a face scrub. I use Origins range. It's a bit more expensive than high street stuff but I find it very effective and I'd rather pay a bit extra for something that works well. Having said that, Clean %26amp; Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub is pretty good too.

EDIT: You can make a very simple scrub with oatmeal and strawberries (strawberries have a natural acid that helps to dissolve dead cells). Just mush it all up, rub it on then rinse off.
Here is a home made face scrub.

This is a luxurious blend of almonds, oatmeal, milk and rose petals to cleanse the face leaving it silky soft. Mix 3 tbsp ground almonds, 3 tbsp medium oatmeal, 3 tbsp powdered milk and 2 tbsp powdered rose petals along with almond oil and combine thoroughly. Now store the mixture in a sealed glass jar and used when required.

And here is another one.

Mix 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 tablespoon of finely ground almond paste and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Rub gently on face for some time and rinse with warm water.

Here is a site with a lot of info on home made face scrubs that are real easy and convenient.

put some 'just boiled' water and some lavender water into bowl, get towel and put over head and bowl and let the steam open and unclog your pores. when water has cooled splash face with cold water to close pores then pat skin dry and apply moisturiser. keep hands away from face and drink plenty of liquids (not alcohol).
I use St Ives face scrub it's amazing, doesn't dry you skin out lots of different ones for all skin types and you can use it everywhere also its just like a face wash. it also makes you skin really smooth and radiant i love that stuff not the expensive aswell.
There are heaps of home made remedies for masks....I've probaby tried them all. But if you really want to exfoliate and get rid of all that dead skin. Buy some exfoliating gloves. I bought mine for about $3 and they do a way better job then all those masks.
St Ives Apricot Scrub is a great exfoliator for the face. I use it in the shower a couple of times a week, and they do one for oily skin.
A wash cloth work great. It exfoliates your skin but is gentle enough not to damage it. If that does not do it for you than try mixing olive oil and sugar and scrub with that.
this is really good

If you have the cash, get a chemical peel or microdermabrasion.
a good exfoliater is the No.7 one at boots really good %26amp; fine like sugar but is about 拢9-拢10. but it is really good.
use an exfoliating scrub, a mask doesn't exfoliate.
I've heard of lemon %26amp; sugar being a really good exfoliant.. I've never tried it, look it up on youtube!
to exfoliate, you should use a face scrub- works better than a mask
sugar scrub.
