What should i do after exfoliate our face or body?

for the face, should we tone and moisturise as normal and for the body do we apply lotion or something?What should i do after exfoliate our face or body?
hi. after i exfoliate my face i tone and moisturise as usual. when i exfoliate my body i put moisturiser on afterwards. my rationale is if we are stripping our skin of dead cells etc then we should re-hydrate the skin afterwards!

I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are
